House G
E-Light

Naples, Italy

To meet the client's needs, the renovation work for a house of approximately 105 m2 with a large balcony on the side used as the living area, from a functional point of view, completely revisited the original plan of the house, the the distribution spaces, consequently recovering maximum space in the functional areas of the home. The apartment has been divided into three areas, one public, one private and a third "passage" area between the first two.

Dettagli progetto

The private area consisting of a bedroom, walk-in wardrobe and personal bathroom is preceded by the hallway area, which leads to the private area, the guest bathroom and a room used as a study which, if necessary, can host an overnight stay for friends of family.

Glass doors with fabric to filter light while maintaining privacy in the shade provide access to the hallway and shield the kitchen area from the entrance. The kitchen is in direct visual connection with the dining and living area through an architectural void that functions as a snack table or serving hatch for a dinner.

This set of open-closed, sometimes filtered, public and private relationships is the strength of this project. The search for materials and their implementation reveal the soul of the property. The Hungarian herringbone and bevelled parquet, the French cement tiles mounted like a tapestry on the bathtub, the ribbed glass panels in the bathrooms, the practical contemporaneity of a professional woman connected to the emotional soul of a young woman.

Responding to emotional needs was certainly the most difficult and exciting challenge and, as always happens in a project linked to the housing habitat, achieving this objective is what can really give comfort to the new inhabitant.

The light project is the completion of a warm and visually comfortable atmosphere, the light in its variations accompanies the scenes of daily life.

The right intensity, the right tone, the balance given by the rhythm, accents and light pauses is the objective of a holistic project.

The light scenes are modular, guaranteeing high flexibility to the environments. The bathroom areas were designed as if every day were a pampering for a good start to the day!
