Gliese is the first work in the Spaziandocollection, referring to the exoplanet hypothesized to have characteristics similar to Earth. Alice and Valentina, in their sustainability-focused artistic design project, aim to initiate a reflection on the interconnection between physical and inner space. The surface is treated with innovative products that ionize and purify the surrounding air.

The collection is battery-powered to allow enjoyment of the luminous artwork with two types of light: backlighting that radiates silhouettes and grazing illumination that highlights the surface's peculiarities, emphasizing oxidations, chromatic variations, and the materiality of Alice's artistic surface.
The satellite, crafted from curved glass with a mirrored silver decoration, represents the gateway to the artwork. The reflection invites us to go beyond the known reality, serving as a device to "slow down" the perception of the observation of time. The planet's surface is inspired by regolith, which is the heterogeneous mixture of sediments composing the outermost layer of rocky planets. The artist used a plaster to create a three-dimensional effect with imprints and a ferrous powder finish, and colorations occurred through the activation of oxidizing agents.

SPAZIANDO

An “itinerary” of luminous works, a tribute to the Earth which, “if on the one hand it refers to the description of the sky and the cosmos, on the other it refers to one's own internal geography", as Italo Calvino wrote.

The project was born from the will of Alice and Valentina on an extended reflection between the physical and the interior space. Trying to see beyond what is before our eyes to open the way to a more intimate vision.

The collection takes its name from the desire for freedom of use and livability of the artistic object. The planets are wireless lighting fixtures, which is why they can be placed in the places that we feel most attractive at that moment, they can be placed on a wall or simply placed on the ground in a corner next to a sofa.
